Take a closer look at the work
From thoughtful brand photography and natural headshots to the more personal, feminine work of Light of Her, every project starts with a person, a story and a reason for creating something new.
This is a collection of work created with people, brands and businesses at different stages of their journey. Some projects are about building a strong visual identity from the ground up. Others are about refreshing an existing brand, creating a bank of images for a new season of your business, or simply having photographs that feel current, natural and truly you.
Brand photography is often about more than making a business look good. It’s about showing the person behind it, giving people a sense of who you are and creating images that have a purpose, whether that’s telling your story on your website, introducing a new offering, connecting with your audience on social media or bringing your visual identity together.
Headshots can be just as considered. Whether you need a polished portrait for your website and LinkedIn, something more relaxed for your personal brand, or a set of images that feel a little less like traditional headshots, the aim is always to create photographs that feel like you.
And then there is Light of Her: feminine photography rooted in the beauty of the Scottish landscape. These sessions are slower, more personal and a little more free, creating space to step away from the everyday and reconnect with yourself.
No two shoots are the same. The location, light, pace and feel of each session are shaped around the person in front of my camera and what we’re creating together. I’ll guide you when you need direction, but there is always room for movement, spontaneity and the moments that happen naturally.
The case studies below offer a closer look at that process: the people, ideas, places and stories behind the finished images.
Take a look around, find the projects that speak to you, and imagine what we could create together.
Calum needed professional portraits that felt natural and approachable, while still communicating the professionalism of his work. Like many people who aren't used to being photographed, he arrived feeling a little unsure about being in front of the camera.
Nicola is the creative force behind Mint Modern, specialising in brand strategy and design for food, drink, hospitality and tourism businesses. She wanted imagery that reflected the quality of her work and helped her connect with ambitious business owners who understand the value of investing in a strong, cohesive brand.
Carole is a busy Pilates teacher with a full schedule of classes and a growing business. She wanted to create a new website and needed imagery that felt warm, light, organic and grounded in earthy tones.
Joyce was building her new business from the ground up, with a fresh website and a new professional identity. She wanted her photography to feel professional, vibrant, warm and fun, while still feeling completely true to her.
We wanted to create images that felt natural and full of personality rather than overly polished or staged, photographs that would make the new website feel approachable, energetic and distinctly hers.
Aidan was starting his own practice and creating a new professional identity. He wanted his photographs to feel polished and credible while still being approachable and natural.
Let’s create something great together.
